Seattle Mariners second baseman Robinson Cano is not in the lineup for Wednesday's home game against the Boston Red Sox.
It's a routine day off for Cano, and he'll be spelled at second base by Danny Espinosa.
Cano has only managed a .339 wOBA through 91 games in 2017, but that comes on only a .267 BABIP (compared to a .299 in 2016 and .318 career-average) despite his 35.4% hard-hit and 14.7% soft-hit rates. numberFire's models project him to bat .294 and add 10 home runs and 34 RBI in 231 plate appearances over the remainder of the season.
