Trade talks surrounding the Houston Astros and Oakland Athletics' starter Sonny Gray are "heating up", according to MLB Network's Jon Morosi.
While the two teams continue to talk about a deal involving the 27-year-old right-hander, word has it that the Astros are also discussing a potential trade with the Detroit Tigers involving Justin Verlander and Justin Wilson.
In 15 starts, Gray has posted a 6-4 record with a 3.36 FIP and .229 average against. He would further improve an Astros staff ranked fifth (3.76) and second (.221) in those same categories.
