Colorado Rockies outfielder Charlie Blackmon departed Wednesday's win over the San Diego Padres early due to cramping in his quad/hamstring area.
This is encouraging news after Blackmon was lifted in the middle of an at-bat in the sixth inning on Wednesday. The Rockies may elect to give sit him for a day or two as a conservative measure, but this won't be a long-term issue. The 31-year-old outfielder is slashing .329/.383/.615 with 23 home runs, 67 RBI, 82 runs scored, and 8 steals in 434 plate appearances (95 games) this season.
numberFire's models project Blackmon for a .318 batting average, with 12 home runs, 40 RBI, 43 runs scored, and 7 steals over 285 remaining plate appearances in 2017.
