Atlanta Braves outfielder Nick Markakis is not in Wednesday afternoon's starting lineup versus the Chicago Cubs.
Danny Santana will draw the start in right field and bat sixth versus Cubs southpaw Mike Montgomery. It's likely just a day off for Markakis, whose solo blast on Tuesday night accounted for the Braves' only run in a 5-1 loss to the defending World Series champs.
