At least 15 Major League Baseball teams have expressed interest in acquiring San Diego Padres relief pitcher Brad Hand, Dennis Lin of the San Diego Union Tribune reports.
The 27-year-old All-Star is one of the top left-handed relievers believed to be available via trade and comes with the added bonus of having two additional years of team control. It would be a major surprise if he was still in San Diego when the calendar flips to August.
Hand holds a 2.30 ERA, 32.1 percent strikeout rate, and 7.0 percent walk rate over 47 innings for the Padres this season.
