The New York Yankees could be vying for a reunion with right-handed reliever David Robertson, whom they have claimed off of waivers from the Chicago White Sox, according to CBS Sports' Jon Heyman.
Just because the Yankees claimed Robertson doesn't mean the White Sox will agree to a trade. Heyman reported that such a move was unlikely and that Robertson was expected to remain in Chicago for the rest of the season.
It's hard to imagine a Yankees bullpen with Robertson, Andrew Miller, and Dellin Betances. In his first season with the White Sox, Robertson holds a 2.17 xFIP with 27 saves.
