Pittsburgh Pirates catcher Elias Diaz is starting on Thursday versus the Philadelphia Phillies.
Diaz hasn't played since Saturday, with Francisco Cervelli and Chris Stewart alternating turns behind the plate. The 26-year-old rookie will catch right-hander Chad Kuhl while batting seventh versus Phillies righty Jeremy Hellickson. He's 20-for-75 (.267) in 29 games this year.
The Pirates should benefit from a strong park factor (1.031), as well as a low strikeout percentage from Hellickson this season (12.1), so perhaps Diaz could be worth a look. numberFire's models project him to score 6.9 FanDuel points at a cost of $2,400 on Thursday.
