The New York Mets are open to a reunion with pitcher Bartolo Colon, according to the New York Post's Mike Puma.
Prior to signing with the Atlanta Braves this past offseason, Colon pitched three seasons with the Mets. Now, having been designated for assignment last week, the 44-year-old is likely to clear waivers this week. At that point, he will be able to agree to a deal with a team of his choosing.
Colon's 1.69 nERD is down from a year ago, but that would still rank fifth among all Mets pitchers in 2017.
