Chicago White Sox reliever David Robertson has been placed on the paternity leave list.
Robertson is tending to the birth of his second child. Tommy Kahnle will fill in at closer for the White Sox in the meantime. The 32-year-old reliever owns a 3.00 ERA, 1.00 WHIP, and 36.7 strikeout percentage (K%) in 30 innings this season while converting on 12-of-13 saves.
Prior to this announcement, numberFire's models projected Robertson to record a 2.82 ERA, 1.13 WHIP, and 29.7 K% with 14 more saves in 32 more innings over the remainder of the season.
