Washington Nationals catcher Matt Wieters is not in the starting lineup on Wednesday afternoon against the Miami Marlins.
It's just a routine day off for Wieters, and Jose Lobaton will handle catching duties and bat eighth this afternoon.
Wieters has only managed a .293 wOBA through 225 plate appearances in 2017, and his absence shouldn't have much of a negative impact on the Washington offense this afternoon.
