Pittsburgh Pirates starting pitcher Tyler Glasnow has been optioned to Triple-A Indianapolis.
A former top-tier prospect, Glasnow struggled mightily this season, posting 4.93 SIERA and 10.9% walk rate across 54 1/3 frames. He's still only 23 years old, so there's not too much reason for concern here.
In a corresponding move, the Bucs called up Jameson Taillon, who had been rehabbing his way back from cancer treatments. Taillon is scheduled to start Monday's game versus the Colorado Rockies.
