San Diego Padres infielder Chase D'Arnaud is starting at shortstop and batting eighth on Thursday against the Arizona Diamondbacks.
D'Arnaud led off on Tuesday, but is back to his customary eighth spot in the lineup today. That move allows the red-hot Jose Pirela to hit at the top of the order on Thursday.
D'Arnaud is hitting a solid .270/.325/.324 with 10 runs, 2 RBI, and no home runs in 40 big league plate appearances this season.
