Seattle Mariners starting pitcher Felix Hernandez (shoulder) is scheduled to make a rehab appearance Tuesday at Triple-A Tacoma.
Hernandez felt great after a simulated game on Friday, and is prepared to take the next step and make a minor league rehab start. The veteran pitcher expects to make a couple of rehab starts before returning to the big league rotation, which he has been away from since April 26.
numberFire's algorithms project Hernandez for 89 2/3 innings pitched the rest of the season with a 4.92 ERA, 1.40 WHIP, and 63 strikeouts.
