Milwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Jimmy Nelson was dominant in Sunday's victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks, striking out 10 over seven innings of one-run ball.
Nelson didn't walk a batter making it easier to survive as he scattered seven hits. The lone run he allowed came in the fourth inning on a RBI double by Chris Iannetta. Nelson has shown flashes of brilliance this season but hasn't been consistent enough to make him anything more than a streaming option. He faces the Los Angeles Dodgers next on Friday.
Nelson owns a 3-3 record with a 3.38 FIP while striking out 54 batters and walking 16 in 56 1/3 innings pitched.
