Oakland Athletics first baseman Yonder Alonso (wrist) is back in the starting lineup Sunday.
It's his first start since he took a pitch off his right wrist Tuesday. Alonso is at first base and batting fifth against New York Yankees starter Michael Pineda.
Alonso has crushed righties in 2017, to the tune of a .302/.407/.656 triple-slash line, with 10 home runs, 15 runs, and 23 RBI's in 113 plate appearances this year. He also has a much lower strikeout rate (21.2 percent) against pitchers like Pineda.
