Boston Red Sox starting pitcher David Price (elbow) will make his season debut Monday against the Chicago White Sox.
Price struggled mightily in Wednesday's rehab start at Triple-A Pawtucket but the Red Sox are in need of the former Cy Young winner's services as their rotation has failed to find their groove so far in 2017. The 31-year-old southpaw turned in a 3.99 ERA and 24.0 strikeout percentage last season for Boston.
Across two Triple-A outings, Price recorded a 9.53 ERA (3.43 xFIP), 2.47 WHIP and 25.0 strikeout percentage in 5 2/3 total innings.
