Seattle Mariners starting pitcher James Paxton (forearm) is hoping to rejoin the Mariners' rotation on May 31 against the Colorado Rockies.
Paxton threw 37 pitches in a bullpen session on Sunday and is scheduled to make a rehab start for Double-A Arkansas this Friday. If all goes well, he will return to the rotation for a home start against the Rockies the following Wednesday. Paxton has been out since May 2 with forearm soreness.
Paxton has tossed 37 2/3 innings in six starts in 2017 with a 1.43 ERA and 10.75 strikeouts per nine innings.
