Seattle Mariners starting pitcher James Paxton (forearm) completed a 25-pitch bullpen session on Thursday.
Paxton felt great before, during, and after the bullpen session and will make another one this Sunday. If that goes well, he will be sent out for a minor league rehab appearance with Double-A. Paxton is on pace for a return to the Mariners' rotation by the end of the month.
Paxton was lights out to start 2017 with a 1.43 ERA, 0.98 WHIP, .187 batting average against, and 45 strikeouts in 37 2/3 innings pitched.
