The Los Angeles Angels have reached a deal with free agent pitcher Doug Fister, according to Chris Cotillo of SB Nation.
The deal is a major league contract for Fister, meaning after he passes a physical he will join the Angels' big league club. Fister will help fill the void in rotation from injuries to Garrett Richards and Tyler Skaggs.
Fister threw 180 1/3 innings for the Houston Astros in 2016, posting a 12-13 record and 4.75 FIP while striking out 5.74 batters per nine innings.
