Chicago Cubs outfielder Jason Heyward (finger) will take some dry swings Friday.
This will be Heyward's first action since he was placed on the disabled list with a sprained right finger. It's unclear whether or not he'll be activated from the disabled list when he's first eligible next Tuesday.
Heyward has enjoyed a modest bounce-back start after his disastrous 2016 season. He is hitting .253/.333/.364 with 3 home runs, 17 RBI's, and 11 runs scored in 111 plate appearances so far in 2017.
