Baltimore Orioles relief pitcher Brad Brach earned his seventh save of the season Sunday in the Orioles' 4-0 defeat of the Chicago White Sox.
Brach came in after Alec Asher allowed back-to-back one-out singles in the ninth and immediately slammed the door shut by inducing a double play ball to end the game. With Zach Britton returning to the disabled list with a forearm strain, Brach will serve as the Orioles closer for the foreseeable future.
Brach holds a 2.04 ERA and 0.79 WHIP with seven saves and 17 strikeouts in 17 2/3 innings pitched this season.
