Cincinnati Reds relief pitcher Rasiel Iglesias pitched a scoreless ninth inning while striking out two to earn the save in a 4-2 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates on Thursday.
Iglesias has now converted on all five of his save chances this season and has gone four consecutive appearances (five innings) without allowing a run. The starter-turned-closer is excelling at the back end of the bullpen and is quickly reaching elite fantasy status.
Iglesias owns a 1.10 ERA, 0.80 WHIP, and 19 strikeouts to go along with his five saves in 16 1/3 innings pitched so far this season.
