New York Mets catcher Travis d'Arnaud (wrist) has been scratched from Friday's lineup versus the Washington Nationals.
The Mets had hoped d'Arnaud would be able to play on Friday after injuring his wrist on Wednesday. However, his wrist is still sore, and the catcher had some discomfort throwing during warmups. He looks to be day-to-day with the injury. Rene Rivera will catch and bat seventh on Friday.
d'Arnaud is batting .263/.349/.526 with two home runs, nine RBI's, and six runs scored in 43 plate appearances this season.
