Toronto Blue Jays pitcher J.A. Happ made an early exit from Sunday's start against the Baltimore Orioles after he suffered an apparent injury in the fifth inning.
Happ stepped off the mound, looking to be in pain, in the top of the fifth inning after throwing a pitch. He had yet to allow a run in the start, notching three strikeouts and no walks. Expect an updated on his status to come on Sunday.
Happ entered this game with a strong 1.85 SIERA, 34.0 percent strikeout rate and no walks allowed through his first two starts in 2017.
