Texas Rangers catcher Jonathan Lucroy will get the day off on Thursday as the Rangers travel to take on the Los Angels Angels.
It's just a day of rest for Lucroy, and Robinson Chirinos will take his place behind the plate while batting eighth against right-hander Ricky Nolasco.
Chirinos is coming off of a 2016 campaign that saw him slash .236/.309/.488 with a .337 wOBA and .252 isolated slugging in 140 plate appearances against right-handed pitchers.
