Los Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Clayton Kershaw allowed just one earned run over seven innings Monday in the Dodgers' 14-3 Opening Day rout of the San Diego Padres.
Kershaw was at the top of his game, striking out eight while tossing only 84 pitches, 61 going for strikes. His only mistake was to Ryan Schimpf who hit a solo bomb in the seventh inning. The Dodgers' ace allowed only two hits while earning his first win of the season.
