Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Julio Urias will not be on the Opening Day roster.
Urias will remain on the roster through the Dodgers' upcoming series with the Los Angeles Angels, but he'll have to wait for a spot to open up for him once the games that count get under way. The 20-year-old left-hander recorded a 3.39 ERA with an impressive 25.0 strikeout percentage over 77 innings during last year's rookie campaign.
Prior to this report, numberFire's algorithms projected Urias to twirl a 3.49 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 23.6 strikeout percentage across 118 2/3 innings while going 8-5 this upcoming season.
