Chicago Cubs pitcher Jon Lester has been announced as the starter for Game 1 of the World Series.
This likely wasn't a tough decision for manager Joe Maddon to make. Lester will face off against Cleveland Indians ace Corey Kluber in Game 1 on Tuesday night at Cleveland's Progressive Field.
We give the Cubs a 63.4 percent chance of defeating the Indians in the World Series. Lester has twirled a dominant 0.86 ERA across 21 innings (three starts) this postseason, and the veteran left-hander was named co-MVP of the National League Championship Series.
