Arizona Diamondbacks first baseman Paul Goldschmidt blasted two home runs, driving in all three runs as Arizona beat the San Diego Padres 3-2 on Wednesday.
He opened the scoring with a solo shot in the first inning, and his two-run blast in the top of the sixth lifted the D'backs to a 3-2 lead that held for the remainder of the game.
Goldschmidt has been solid from the dish this year, slashing .298/.413/.495 through 664 plate appearances, though his .384 wOBA is his lowest since 2012, and his .197 ISO is a career-low.
