Philadelphia Phillies relief pitcher Jeanmar Gomez may be replaced as they team's closer, according to Phillies manager Pete Mackanin.
The Phillies have only 11 games left and are far out of contention, but Gomez has really been struggling. Michael Mariot replaced Gomez after he gave up three earned runs in the ninth inning on Tuesday.
Gomez has a rough 4.03 ERA and 4.06 SIERA on the season, and he owns a shaky 15.9 percent strikeout rate and 7.1 percent walk rate through 67 innings.
