The Pittsburgh Pirates acquired left-handed pitcher Wade LeBlanc from the Seattle Mariners for a player to be named later or cash considerations.
LeBlanc found himself on the outside looking in of the Mariners' 40-man roster late last month. He'll likely come out of the bullpen for Pittsburgh at first, but could get a chance to start as the season winds to a close.
Through 50 innings this season (eight starts, three relief appearances), LeBlanc owns a 4.50 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 19.7 strikeout percentage.
