Astros scratch Dallas Keuchel for Tuesday start

Houston Astros pitcher Dallas Keuchel (arm) was scratched from Tuesday's start against the Cleveland Indians and has flown back to Houston to see doctors.

What It Means:

Keuchel was originally scheduled to start Friday, but the Astros pushed it back to Tuesday due to what they described as fatigue. He's heading back to Houston with the hopes of ruling out any sort of structural damage. The 28-year-old left-hander is shut down from throwing for now, but the possibility remains that he is ruled out for the remainder of the season, depending on the doctor's visit. Brad Peacock will get the start on Tuesday for the Astros.

Keuchel has recorded a 4.55 ERA across 168 innings pitched this season. He owns a 20.5 percent strikeout rate, but both of those numbers are far from his 2.48 ERA and 23.7 strikeout percentage from last year's campaign (232 innings).
