The Miami Marlins designated outfielder Oswaldo Arcia for assignment.
Arcia lasted just a single game with the Marlins, as they designated him for assignment on Thursday in order to make room for new outfielder Jeff Francoeur. Arcia has slashed a poor .226/.299/.390 with six home runs and 19 RBI's in 177 plate appearances this year between time with the Minnesota Twins, Tampa Bay Rays and the Marlins.
Arcia posted a .300 wOBA and a massive 37.3 strikeout percentage this season, ranking the worst among any hitter with at least 170 plate appearances on the year.
