The Oakland Athletics placed starting pitcher Sonny Gray on the 15-day disabled list with a strained right extensor muscle.
The injury to Gray's forearm has forced him to another disabled list stint. He has been horrific this season in 21 starts and with nothing left to play for, don't expect the A's to rush him back this year.
Gray has a sky-high 5.74 ERA and 18.13 strikeout rate over 116 innings pitched this season. His K% is down over two full percentage points from 2015 and hitters own nearly a 35 percent hard hit rate against Gray this season.
