Texas Rangers catcher Jonathan Lucroy is not in the starting lineup on Friday against the Houston Astros.
This will be Lucroy's first day off since joining his new team. Robinson Chirinos -- and his .315 wOBA this season -- will get the start behind the plate on Friday.
Lucroy has two hits in his first 11 plate appearances with the Rangers, but one of them was a home run. He's slashing .296/.357/.483 with 14 home runs and a .356 wOBA in 387 plate appearances with the Rangers and Milwaukee Brewers this season. Our models project Lucroy to have some modest regression in Texas down the stretch, with a .333 wOBA, five homers and 24 RBI's remaining this season.
