St. Louis Cardinals outfielder Victor Scott will start in center field and bat leadoff in Thursday afternoon's series opener against left-hander Ryan Weathers and the Miami Marlins.
Scott hit in the bottom of the order in the first seven games, but the Cardinals are using him in the leadoff spot Thursday, with Brendan Donovan (elbow), Willson Contreras (hand), Lars Nootbaar (ribs), and Tommy Edman (wrist) all unavailable.
