San Diego Padres infielder Brett Wallace hit a three-run blast Wednesday against the Baltimore Orioles.
This was only the third start in the past two weeks for Wallace, but he made it count on Wednesday. A healthy Wil Myers has been owning first base duties, so Wallace will need to replicate this sort of production to earn more playing time at the hot corner.
Wallace has a .212/.350/.377 slash and .320 wOBA in 177 plate appearances this season. He's recorded five home runs and 14 RBI's on the year while owning a 28.20 strikeout rate.
