San Diego Padres third baseman Manny Machado is not starting in Tuesday's lineup versus the Colorado Rockies.
Machado will sit on the bench after Juan Soto was picked as San Diego's designated hitter and Jurickson Profar was aligned in left field.
Per Baseball Savant on 419 batted balls this season, Machado has accounted for a 10.3% barrel rate and a .249 expected average.
