The Miami Marlins did not list Luis Arraez in their starting lineup for Monday's game against the Cincinnati Reds.
Arraez will take a seat Monday while the Marlins get Joey Wendle a start at shortstop and have him bat ninth. Jon Berti will cover second base for the night.
Arraez's first season in Miami has been a smashing success, with the talented second baseman sustaining a whopping .375 batting average on the season. Through 458 plate appearances he has 3 homers, 46 runs, 52 RBI, and 1 stolen base.
