The St. Louis Cardinals did not list Willson Contreras as a starter for Sunday's game against the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Contreras will catch a breather Sunday while Andrew Knizner starts at catcher and bats ninth against Pittsburgh.
Contreras is batting .215 through 226 plate appearances this season, with 6 home runs, 22 runs, 26 RBI, and a .666 OPS.
