New York Yankees catcher Brian McCann is dealing with a hyperextended left elbow.
It now makes sense that he's been on the bench for three of four games. The good news is that it appears to be a minor issue. "I don't think it will be too long," Yankees manager Joe Girardi said. Austin Romine is catching again on Friday.
McCann's slump has dropped his slash to .224/.321/.401 with seven home runs and a .317 wOBA in 168 plate appearances this season. Our models currently project him to hit .230/.319/.412 with 13 home runs and a .315 wOBA over the remaining course of the season.
