Twins' Byron Buxton removed from Triple-A game

Minnesota Twins center fielder Byron Buxton was pulled from Monday's game with Triple-A Rochester.

What It Means:

Danny Santana exited Monday's game with a left hamstring strain, so it appears that the Twins are preparing to place him on the disabled list and bring Buxton back from Triple-A. He'll be worth consideration in most mixed leagues assuming he gets the call.

The 22-year-old was demoted in late April after batting just .156/.208/.289 in 49 plate appearances, but he came into Monday's action hitting .333/.402/.605 with six homers and four steals over 28 games in Triple-A.
