Arizona Diamondbacks infielder Pavin Smith is not in the lineup Saturday in the team's game against the San Francisco Giants.
Smith is being replaced at designated hitter by Stone Garrett versus Giants starter Scott Alexander.
In 264 plate appearances this season, Smith has a .215 batting average with a .660 OPS, 9 home runs, 23 runs, 33 RBI and 1 stolen base.
