Los Angeles Dodgers first baseman Freddie Freeman is not starting in Friday's contest against the St. Louis Cardinals.
Freeman will take a break after Miguel Vargas was chosen as Los Angeles' starting first baseman.
Per Baseball Savant on 491 batted balls this season, Freeman has accounted for a 10.2% barrel rate and a .408 expected weighted on-base average.
