Cincinnati Reds infielder Jose Barrero is not in the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against the Boston Red Sox.
Barrero will move to the bench on Wednesday with Spencer Steer starting at shortstop. Steer will bat seventh versus right-hander Connor Seabold and Boston.
