Arizona Diamondbacks outfielder Jake McCarthy is not in the starting lineup for Friday's game against the San Diego Padres.
McCarthy will move to the bench on Friday with Corbin Carroll starting in center field. Carroll will bat eighth versus left-hander Blake Snell and the Padres.
