The Los Angeles Angels placed infielder Andrew Velazquez on the 10-day injured list Wednesday with a right meniscus tear.
Velazquez suffered the injury during Tuesday's contest against the Cleveland Guardians and he will miss the remainder of the season. Michael Stefanic was recalled from Triple-A Salt Lake on Wednesday in a corresponding roster move. David Fletcher will start at shortstop in Wednesday afternoon's series finale against right-hander Cal Quantrill and the Cleveland Guardians.
Fletcher has a $2,200 salary on Wednesday and numberFire’s models project him for 6.5 FanDuel points. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Angels’ implied total (3.69) is No. 20 in the majors today.
