Oakland Athletics infielder Tony Kemp (groin) is back in the starting lineup for Thursday night's series opener against right-hander Dylan Cease and the Chicago White Sox.
Kemp sat out Wednesday with a tight groin, but he will start on second base and lead off Oakland's order a day later. Jonah Bride will be idle after starting on the keystone Wednesday and Vimael Machin will drop to the six-hole.
Kemp has a $2,500 salary on Thursday and our models project him for 8.1 FanDuel points. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Athletics' implied total (2.98) is second-lowest out of the 12 active teams today and the park factor for the game is the weakest of the day for batters.
