St. Louis Cardinals infielder Brendan Donovan is not starting in Friday's game against the Arizona Diamondbacks.
Donovan will sit on the bench after Albert Pujols was named Friday's designated hitter.
According to Baseball Savant on 206 batted balls this season, Donovan has recorded a 1.9% barrel rate and a .328 expected weighted on-base average.
