Arizona Diamondbacks outfielder Alek Thomas is not in the starting lineup for Friday's game against the St. Louis Cardinals.
Thomas will move to the bench on Friday with Emmanuel Rivera starting at first base. Rivera will bat second versus right-hander Miles Mikolas and the Cardinals.
